Owner Builder Services
Our owner-builder inspection services are designed to alleviate some pressures attached to the owner-build process. We offer a second set of qualified eyes, there to assess the work of your trades and report back on any areas of concern.
Our building inspection reports are clear and easy to read, completed in accordance with Australian Standard 4349.0.
We inspect your project at practical completion/pre-occupancy (at the earliest).
Faults that go unnoticed can cause follow-on effects to your build down the line, triggering costly delays and construction problems. Our building inspection reports will assist you in keeping on top of quality control and ensuring your build progresses as smoothly as possible.
Additional to new-build inspections, our owner-builder service offers extra time with the inspector for consultation on site. We understand some extra guidance may be required on how best to remedy a situation. We walk you through the areas of concern and provide advice on possible solutions. If required, can also talk to your trades and explain what’s needed to rectify any problems. Reports are typically ready for issue within 1-3 days following each inspection. We will confirm with you if appointed. If you plan on selling your home within 7 years from practical completion, the relevant insurer will require a copy of the Owner Builder Home Indemnity Insurance Report in order to transfer the warranty for the building.
